Moody most recently worked under one of his original monikers, Percy Pringle III, for Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, formerly NWA Hollywood, which has monthly television tapings in Glendale.

“WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer,” a press release on WWE.com stated Tuesday night.

“Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years. Our deepest condolences go out to Moody’s family, friends and fans.”

Bearer was reported to be 58 by multiple wrestling websites and died after he had been hospitalized for the past several days.

No cause of death was yet to be reported.

The next Championship Wrestling from Hollywood taping at the Glendale Studios is scheduled March 17.
