SPORTS ROUNDUP: Glendale Community College men’s tennis nets conference road win

MEN’S TENNIS

Glendale Community College 6, L.A. Pierce College 3: The Vaqueros picked up a Western State Conference road victory Thursday. Glendale (7-4, 3-2 in conference) got singles wins from Gaspar Macalutas (6-0, 6-0), Dat Le (6-4, 6-7(4-7), 6-0), Son Trinh (6-0, 6-1) and Santiago Segovia (6-4, 6-4).

Picking up doubles victories for the Vaqueros were Andrew You and Macalutas (8-4) and Oscar Lam and Stephen Joharry (8-2).

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Santa Monica City College 7, Glendale Community College 2: The host Vaqueros fell Thursday in a Western State Conference match. Glendale (7-6, 2-3 in conference) received singles victories from Sofia Tavitian (6-4, 6-4) and Fnu Nerrissa (6-3, 6-1).

BOYS’ TENNIS

Burbank 9, Crescenta Valley 9 (Burbank wins in games, 64-63): Visiting Crescenta Valley suffered a Pacific League defeat Thursday.

BOYS’ GOLF

Heritage Christian 248, Flintridge Prep 250: The host Rebels (3-1) fell Thursday in a nonleague match at Altadena Golf Course. Jack Bouchard carded a four-over-par 39 for Flintridge Prep.
