All-Area Girls’ Basketball Second Team

Bea Benedicto, Senior, Providence

A first-team All-CIF selection and Liberty League Player of the Year, she led the Pioneers to the Division V-AA semifinals and averaged 9.9 points and 5.6 rebounds.

Dariel Johnson, Senior, Pasadena

Although just a league honorable mention selection, the junior had a big year, tallying 14.8 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.1 steals, 4.8 assists and 3.8 blocks.

Leigh Kunitake, Senior, San Marino

A valuable asset for the Titans, the junior was a Rio Hondo League first-team selection after averaging 15.6 points, 3.9 steals and 3.6 rebounds a game.

Maya Okamoto, Junior, Flintridge Prep

When it came to defense, the junior was a terror for the Rebels, notching 56 steals and averaging 8.9 points to earn All-Prep League and All-CIF first-team accolades.

Courtney Seidler, Senior, Burbank

Came back from an injury to help lead the Bulldogs to the playoffs. The All-Pacific League first-team selection averaged 10.3 points and 4.7 rebounds a game.
