Led Indians over favored, three-time reigning Pacific League champion Crescenta Valley to first league title since 2009 with 10-3-1 record. In his 24th year — second of his second stint — at Burroughs, Kodama’s group went 15-7-3 on the year and matched area’s best run in playoffs, reaching CIF Southern Section Division III quarterfinals before suffering 4-3 overtime loss to Palmdale.
