Though he’s on location in Las Vegas filming “The Ultimate Fighter” as part of Ronda Rousey’s coaching staff on the show, Manny Gamburyan had some business of his own unveiled Tuesday.

As confirmed by Ultimate Fighting Championship officials, Gamburyan will face off against Cole Miller in a featherweight fight on Aug. 17 at the organization’s first UFC on Fox Sports 1 card at the TD Garden in Boston.

The bout will pit fighters who got their UFC starts as teammates on “The Ultimate Fighter,” as they were both coached by Jens Pulver in the fifth season of the show, one in which Gamburyan advanced to the finals.

Both fighters are also coming off wins that snapped losing streaks.

Gamburyan (12-7) defeated Michihiro Omigawa on Aug. 4, 2012 via unanimous decision to snap a three-fight losing streak, but has had fights against Chad Mendes and Hacran Dias fall to the wayside since then due to injuries, most notably to his thumb and elbow.

Miller (19-7), meanwhile, bested Bart Palaszewski on April 13 via first-round rear-naked choke to stop a two-fight losing skid.

Gamburyan, along with Andy Dermenjian, Marina Shafir and Gamburyan’s coach at the Glendale Fighting Club, Edmond Tarverdyan, is currently coaching alongside Rousey, the UFC’s women’s bantamweight champion, during tapings of the 18th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” in opposition of a team coached by Miesha Tate, who will fight Rousey for her title in December.

“The Ultimate Fighter” will debut on Sept. 4, also on Fox Sports 1.

Gamburyan and Miller’s bout is likely to be a part of the preliminary portion of the Aug. 17 card on Facebook, which will be headlined by the televised main event of Chael Sonnen taking on Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
