Glendale High girls’ tennis team doubles up Burroughs

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Glendale 12, Burroughs 6: Glendale won eights doubles sets Tuesday to register a Pacific League win. The Nitros (2-1 overall and in league) got sweeps in doubles from Mary Pailevanian and Rouzana Hakobyan (6-3, 6-3, 6-0) and Imani Story and Dani Fabian (6-0, 6-0, 6-4). Veronika Galsytan swept in singles (7-5, 6-3, 6-0) for Glendale.

Crescenta Valley 15, Pasadena 3: The visiting Falcons picked up a Pacific League victory Tuesday. Crescenta Valley improved to 2-2, 2-1 in league.

GIRLS’ GOLF

Crescenta Valley 207, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 210: Jocelyn Chia carded a two-under-par 35 and teammate Andrea Han added a 36 on Tuesday in a nonleague match at Oakmont Country Club.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Holy Family 3, Oakwood 0: The Gaels won on the road in a nonleague match Tuesday evening, 25-15, 25-21, 25-14.

Harmony Corona had six aces and 14 digs, Dominique Ornelas had nine kills and two blocks and Nicolette Garcia added four blocks and four kills.

WOMEN’S GOLF

Soderberg in Western State Conference match: Sarah Soderberg of Glendale Community College fired a six-over-par 77 on Monday in a Western State Conference match to earn medalist accolades at Simi Hills Golf Course in Simi Valley.
