Sports Roundup: Flintridge Sacred Heart volleyball continues winning ways

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 3, Notre Dame Academy 1: Sophia Coffey collected 52 assists and Maddie Peterson added 16 kills Tuesday to lead the visiting Tologs to a 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-20 nonleague win. Flintridge Sacred Heart (8-1) got 14 kills from Kayla Lund and 12 from Katie Conley and 33 digs from Emily Develle.

Glendale Adventist Academy 3, Waverly Academy 0: Brittney Gregg registered a team-high 17 assists Tuesday to spark the host Cougars to a 25-8, 25-19, 25-17 nonleague win. Melisa Lopez contributed eight kills for Glendale Adventist (4-4).

Bishop Conaty-Loretto 3, Holy Family 2: The visiting Gaels began Horizon League play with a defeat, as Bishop Conaty-Loretto recorded a 18-25, 25-14, 25-15, 19-25, 15-11 win.

Holy Family (5-7) got 33 assists and 11 digs from Rianne Sanchez, 12 digs from Gabrielle Perez and 10 kills and 12 blocks from Iris Guzman.

GIRLS’ GOLF

Crescenta Valley 228, Burroughs 233: Laura Perez carded a four-over-par 40 on Tuesday to lead the Falcons in a nonleague match at Brookside Golf Course No. 2.

On Monday, Crescenta Valley posted a 229-251 nonleague win against La Cañada at the same venue. Jocelyn Chia had a 39 for Crescenta Valley.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 15, Alemany 3: The Tologs (2-2) began Mission League play Tuesday with a victory. Flintridge Sacred Heart received singles sweeps from Camille Katz (6-1, 6-0, 6-2) and Holly MacVaugh (6-0, 6-1, 6-3).

Hoover 16, Pasadena 2: The visiting Tornadoes picked up a Pacific League win Tuesday.

Arcadia 15, Glendale 3: The host Nitros fell Tuesday in a Pacific League match. Glendale (2-3, 2-2 in league) received a pair of wins in singles from Veronika Galstyan (6-2, 6-3).
