Sports Briefs: St. Francis High football game to be streamed live

For those unable to make the trek to Gardena, this Friday evening’s Mission League showdown between St. Francis and Serra will be streamed live by the CIF Southern Section.

The 7 p.m. game can be seen at www.Foxsportswest.com/prepzone. Both squads enter the game with an 8-0 overall and 3-0 mark in league.

Robinson to speak at QB Club

Former USC and Los Angeles Rams Coach John Robinson is scheduled to speak at the the Glendale YMCA Quarterback Club at noon Tuesday at the Glendale Elk’s Lodge, 120 E. Colorado St., Glendale.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $20.

Fall basketball class offered

Glendale resident Tony Passarella will conduct a 10-week fall basketball camp on Thursdays at Pacific Community Center, 501 S. Pacific Ave., Glendale.

A class geared for ages 5-7 will take place from 4 to 4:50 p.m., followed by a class for ages 8-10 from 5 to 5:50. The cost is $90.

Hoopshoot comes to town

The Glendale Elks are hosting their annual Hoop Shoot basketball competition for boys and girls ages 8 through 13 at 8 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Glendale High gym, 1440 E. Broadway, Glendale.

Winners who qualify will go on to represent their respective schools at district, regional and national competitions. The competition is open to all students in public and private schools in the Glendale area.
