Sports Roundup: Glendale Community College women’s basketball gets tournament win

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Glendale Community College 71, Victor Valley College 54: Selin Gomez finished with 18 points and Elise Mejia added 11 on Friday for the Vaqueros (7-7) in a consolation contest of the Antelope Valley Tournament.

Brenda Balbuena and Jessica Sanchez collected 10 points apiece for Glendale, which will meet Chaffey College in the tournament’s third-place game at 1 p.m. Saturday.
