Sports Roundup: St. Francis High basketball takes out Crespi in overtime

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

St. Francis 54, Crespi 47 (overtime): Kyle Leufroy scored six of his 14 points in overtime Monday to lift the host Golden Knights to a Mission League victory.

St. Francis (15-7, 4-4 in league) outscored Crespi, 14-7, in the four-minute extra session.

The Golden Knights received 11 points from John Carroll and nine from Evan Crawford.

Hoover 68, Arcadia 57: Teo Davidian registered a team-high 19 points Monday to spur the host Tornadoes to a Pacific League victory. Argin Sarkisian added 18 points for Hoover, which improved to 13-9, 4-6 in league.

La Salle 71, Flintridge Prep 68 (overtime): Visiting Flintridge Prep received 30 points from Robert Cartwright on Tuesday in a nonleague defeat. Andrew Tsangeos and Dante Fregoso finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Rebels (9-12).

Pasadena 72, Glendale 37: Raffi Jivalagian finished with a team-high 12 points Monday for the visiting Nitros in a Pacific League contest. Glendale dropped to 8-14, 3-7 in league.


GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Glendale 62, Pasadena 35: Kristina Sahakian had 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Nitros to a Pacific League win Monday.

Kailyn Gideon added 13 points and seven rebounds for Glendale (10-14, 4-6 in league) and Mariel Telebrico chipped in 11 points and four rebounds.

Arcadia 48, Hoover 35: Visiting Hoover dropped a Pacific League contest Monday. The Tornadoes are 5-10, 3-7 in league.

Crespi 3, St. Francis 1: Jake Anderson scored the lone goal for the host Golden Knights on Monday in a Mission League match. St. Francis dropped to 5-8-3, 2-5-1 in league.

Hoover 0, Arcadia 0: The host Tornadoes finished tied Monday in a Pacific League match. Hoover is 5-11-1, 1-8-1 in league.


GIRLS’ SOCCER

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 1, Louisville 0: Sarah Vail scored off a Casey Basso corner kick in the 35th minute to give the Tologs the Mission League win.

Flintridge Sacred Heart (9-6-2, 2-4-1 in league) also got five saves from goalie Dani Garcia.

Pasadena 2, Glendale 1: Host Glendale fell Monday in a Pacific League match. The Nitros are 3-9-3, 1-7-2 in league

Arcadia 7, Hoover 0: The visiting Tornadoes suffered a Pacific League road defeat Monday to fall to 2-7-1 in league.
