Burbank police, school district to host teen event

Burbank police and school officials on Wednesday will host Teen Awareness Night, with guest speakers from Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Erik’s Cause, an organization that works to end “the choking game” among teenagers.

The free event, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brian Hurst gym at John Burroughs High School, is sponsored by a number of local organizations, including Burbank Boys & Girls Club, the Navy and Teens In Action.
