In separate incidents, two cars crashed into businesses Tuesday. In downtown Burbank, a car crashed through the AT&T store after the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling on wet roads, authorities said. In Glendale, a car crashed into a bank in a strip mall apparently after a 90-year-old woman accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal while turning into the parking lot, police said.
The annual Jingle Bell Run, a 5K romp through downtown Glendale, raised $125,000 for the Arthritis Foundation this weekend, organizers said.
