Glendale Councilman Ara Najarian finishes fourth in race for county supervisor seat

Glendale Councilman Ara Najarian came in fourth place Tuesday night in his bid for a seat on the County Board of Supervisors, meaning he did not qualify for a runoff vote in November.
Najarian had received 33,836 votes, of roughly 13% , according to the L.A. County Registrar.
He and seven other candidates vied to succeed Supervisor Mike Antonovich, who’s terming out of the 5th District seat.

The winner in the race was Kathryn Barger, Antonovich’s chief of staff, who amassed 77,131 votes or about 30%, according to election results.
In second place was Darrell Park, who had 38,911 votes, or about 15%.
Barger and Park will square off against each other in the general election in November.
