News-Press Pet of the Day: Xavier
Xavier is an 8-year-old, male, tabby-and-white, domestic, short-haired cat.
He is affectionate and friendly, but also calm and quiet. Once he bonds with you, you will have a friend for life. He loves taking naps in the afternoon (or anytime, really), and enjoys a nice back scratch.
Xavier may not get along well with other cats in the house, so we recommend he be your “one and only.”
He qualifies for our “Seniors for Seniors” program, which waives the adoption fee for adopters 60 years old and older. The $20 mandatory microchip fee still applies.
Since Xavier is already neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, he is available to go home with you today.
The regular cat adoption fee is $70, which includes the spay or neuter surgery, microchip, vaccinations, and a free follow-up health check at a participating veterinarian.
New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for a pet.
Call the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA at (626) 792-7151 to ask about A381921, or visit at 361 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or emails. Directions and photos of all pets can be found at pasadenahumane.org.
