Police caught a 28-year-old man accused of performing sex acts three years ago with an 11-year-old girl after he contacted her recently through Facebook to arrange another meeting.
Three years ago, Javier Hernandezparras allegedly drove his young neighbor from their Glendale neighborhood to a location near the Staples Center, where he performed sexual acts, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

Last June, the girl recounted the incident to a Los Angeles police officer who notified Glendale detectives.
By that time, Hernandezparras had moved away and detectives had not confirmed his identity.
Police got a break in the case last month when Hernandezparras contacted the girl, now 14, through Facebook.
Posing as the girl, detectives arranged to meet the man on Friday at Griffith Park to have sex.
Around 5:15 pm., undercover officers spotted him at the park in a maroon Mazda. As patrol officers drove in, Hernandezparras attempted to flee, which prompted officers to intentionally collide into his vehicle.
He sustained minor injuries.
Prosecutors on Wednesday charged Hernandezparras with one count each of lewd act with a child and arranging a meeting with a minor for the purpose of lewd acts, William said.
Anyone with information on the case can call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
