Police are investigating a series of break-ins at Glendale pharmacies in which thousands of dollars’ worth of medications were stolen, police said.
In the most recent burglary, early Saturday morning, thieves smashed a window at Med Zone pharmacy, located in the 400 block of East Glenoaks Boulevard, and made off with $10,000 worth of medicine, according to Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
When police arrived, the pharmacy had been ransacked, with various pill bottles left strewn across the floor.
It’s unclear if the break-in is related to other pharmacy burglaries reported in Glendale in the last couple of months. Details on those incidents were not immediately available.
Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
