Glendale prepares to join in National Night Out

Share

Dozens of community-organized National Night Out events Tuesday are expected to bring out residents as they join organizers in taking a stand against crime.

Hundreds of residents are expected to attend at least 40 events planned citywide, which are aimed at strengthening neighborhoods, building watch groups and fighting crime.

Some organizers have planned elaborate events that include food trucks, an outdoor movie screening and raffles. Other neighborhoods plan to host potlucks and ice cream socials.

City council members also canceled their regular weekly meeting to attend the events.
