DUI checkpoint to be conducted
Glendale police will conduct a DUI checkpoint Saturday night at an undisclosed location in the city.
The grant-funded operation will take place between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m., police said.
Officers will be on the lookout for drivers who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and will also be checking to make sure they have a valid driver’s license.
Glendale’s last sobriety checkpoint, conducted last month, netted seven arrests on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The checkpoints are made possible by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
