Free dental clinic to be held in Glendale on Wednesday

Share

The Glendale office of the California Dental Group is holding a free emergency-care clinic from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday for patients who urgently need dental work but can’t afford it.

Procedures such as fillings, extractions, toothache treatments, cleaning of infected gums and even emergency root canals will be offered at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis, according to a statement by the California Dental Group.

Patients must arrive at the clinic and wait their turn, as appointments will not be taken.

The office is located at 609 S. Glendale Ave.

About one third of adults in Glendale cannot afford to pay for dental care and more than 55% do not have dental insurance, according to the Community Health Needs Assessment report released earlier this month by the Glendale Healthier Community Coalition.
