Overturned big rig snarls traffic at I-5, 134 Freeway interchange

Two southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway near Griffith Park were closed Tuesday morning after a big rig overturned, forcing authorities to also temporarily shut down the eastbound 134 Freeway connector.

A Sigalert for the crash was lifted about 7:30 a.m., but traffic along the 5 Freeway remained backed up into Burbank for the morning commute.

The truck overturned shortly after midnight, but no serious injuries were reported.

An investigation into the cause of the crash remained ongoing.
