Police said they were investigating a possible double homicide Sunday after discovering the bodies of a couple in their 70s and 80s in their Glendale home, KTLA reported.

Family called police saying they were concerned for relatives who lived in the 600 block of Alexander Street after not hearing from them, Glendale Police Department spokesman Robert William said.

It was not known how long it had been since the relatives last heard from the couple.

Responding officers entered the residence and found the bodies of the couple.

The cause of death was not disclosed and the couples identities had not yet been confirmed.

Officials were investigating their deaths as a double homicide, William said.
