There is a maximum purchase limit of four tickets per account.

The center and “Hamilton” producer Jeffrey Seller said there are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases fraudulent, tickets.

For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, the center suggests that online purchases for the Costa Mesa engagement be made at scfta.org.

“Hamilton” tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became the nation’s first treasury secretary. The musical, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, features a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway-style show tunes.

The center is also inviting fans to gather on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza and participate in “Hamiltunes: An American Sing-Along,” from 4 to 6 p.m. March 3. Costumes are encouraged, and the event will be hosted by three-time Emmy Award-nominated Broadway conductor, pianist and comedian Seth Rudetsky. Admission is free.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is at 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. For more information, call (714) 556-2787 or visit scfta.org.
