CdM boys’ water polo clamps down, beats Long Beach Wilson in CIF opener

Tanner Pulice scored a game-high four goals as the Corona del Mar High boys’ water polo team beat visiting Long Beach Wilson 12-2 in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs on Thursday night.

Mitchell Cooper added three goals for No. 2-seeded CdM (19-9), while Will Klein, Shane Papa, Alex Taxman, Matt Ueberroth and Henry Wilde added one goal each.

The Sea Kings play host to San Clemente in a Division 2 quarterfinal match on Saturday.
