Damon Wayans Jr. to present comedy nights at Skyloft in Laguna Beach
Comedian Damon Wayans Jr. will start a weekly comedy night at Skyloft restaurant in Laguna Beach in February.
Wayans, a member of the Wayans family of entertainers and a writer and stand-up comedian known for his roles on “Happy Endings” and “New Girl,” will present live entertainment on Tuesday nights.
The first show, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6, will feature comedians Tony Baker and Vincent Oshana, with Wayans closing the show.
In 2016, Wayans founded booking and promotion company Special Guest with partners Kris Jones, Kevin Hart, Marlon Wayans, Apple and Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
Skyloft’s talent booking agency, Pare Booking, merged with Special Guest and collaborated on spotlighting comedic talent in Orange County.
Damon Wayans Jr. will not host all of the weekly events because of his work schedule but will be in charge of seeking comedians for the restaurant, according to Skyloft.
