Truffles

The beautiful sable Persian mix named Truffles needs a new foster family or permanent home. This is not the first time that a husband of the contracted caregiver does not want his wife to continue with her duty as agreed, but it is the first time that one of the animals through the Community Animal Network (CAN) has been threatened with abandonment.

Like so many other adult cats Truffles, who is also called “Momma Kitty,” has been coming to the weekend adoption events month after month and has been overlooked for adoption, as most choose the tiny kittens.

Truffles lives in an active home with children, two dogs and three other cats. Please call (949) 759-3646 to help Truffles or refer an attorney that would be willing to help CAN through the anticipated breech of contract and abandonment.

See photos of other available animals on-line at https://www.animalnetwork.org.

Come to the Fashion Island weekend pet adoption events sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience, noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

FYI: In one week we have incurred $1,092 for the vet medical needs of local animals. CAN has a goal of raising $10,000 by 2011 to support the organization’s rescue operations. After publishing the goal for several weeks, we have only received a $20 donation.

Sadly, Community Animal Network will be unable to cover rescue costs if the community cannot help support CAN’s financial goals.

Please help CAN reach its goals by mailing your check to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658 and memo the check “Support Local Animals” and non-profit tax ID 33-0971560.
