Monks and mandalas at church

Neighborhood Congregational Church will host the Sacred Arts of Tibet Tour, A Time of Sand Painting and Prayer for World Peace by the Monks of Drepung Loseling Phukhang Monastery from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday through Nov. 2.

Attendees will experience the creation of a Tibetan Sand Mandala, and reflect as the monks make a blueprint for world peace in the act of sand painting. Admission is free and all are welcome any day for any length of time at the church, 340 St. Ann’s Drive, Laguna Beach.
