Holiday Meals for the Hungry

Members of the Roosters Foundation and volunteers will be packing holiday food baskets destined for 3,500 needy families in Orange County. One Hundred and Two members of the Roosters Foundation have invested close to $80,000 by supplying each of these families with the following provisions that will go into each basket, and will be distributed to them by 48 other O.C. nonprofits: a 16-pound frozen turkey, vegetables, canned foods, toys and other items. Volunteers will be assembling at 9 a.m. on Sunday to fill the baskets with the food items and toys at The Second Harvest Bank Food Warehouse, 8014 Marine Way, Irvine. Toy Drive

Art Show

Canoe Under Holiday Lights

Food Drive

The city of Irvine and Second Harvest Food Bank are holding a food drive to help the needy during the holidays. The city and Second Harvest are seeking the following types of food donations, including: canned fruit and juices, canned soups, rice, cereal, canned veggies, canned fish, chicken or meat.
