Tour d'Orange

Classic and vintage car lovers will stage the ninth annual Tour d'Orange, a two-hour cruise of Orange County's best two-lane roads. The event leaves from the corner of Red Hill and Fischer avenues in Costa Mesa and ends at the In-N-Out Burger at The District in Tustin. Arrive by 8 a.m. Maps will be given out to drivers at 8:45 a.m. with a scheduled 9 a.m. departure.

XL NYE, Day 2

Costa Mesa-based Sutra rings in the New Year in style with a special show, featuring the biggest names in electronic music. 'White Christmas'

'White Christmas' Meal

A free and public exhibit, "On Display in Orange County: Modern and Contemporary Sculpture," will be displayed on the penthouse level at South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol St.


Canoe Under Holiday Lights

Enjoy outrigger canoeing for all ages and skill levels around Balboa islands under the glow of holiday lights decking out the watercraft and homes competing in the 103rd annual Boat Parade. Participants go out crowd-free on a non-boat parade day. Cost is $35 per person. Corporate and private holiday party paddles are available upon request. Visit Tall Ships

The tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will be at the Newport Sea Base, 1931 W. Coast Hwy. The ships will be open for walk-on tours from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 7 and 8, and from 4 to 5 p.m. Jan. 10 and 11. Food Drive

The city of Irvine and Second Harvest Food Bank are holding a food drive to help the needy during the holidays. The city and Second Harvest are seeking the following types of food donations, including: canned fruit and juices, canned soups, rice, cereal, canned veggies, canned fish, chicken or meat. OC Music Awards Showcase
