Pet of the Week

Share

Maddy is an enigma. Arriving in February as an unhappy stray, she growled and hid when approached, making “Mad-dy” an apt moniker then.

Now, estimated at 6 years old and spayed, Maddy has improved her outlook considerably. She does best outside her cage, where she can enjoy being petted and loved. Still selective about whom she likes, Maddy finds certain people make her feel more comfortable, and it is difficult to predict who will meet her discriminating standards. She likes catnip, but is not fond of other cats and may fare better as a household’s only feline.

Among other adoptable cats and kittens in the shelter, black cats are often overlooked. However, Maddy hopes you will seek her out especially and offer that happily-ever-after home she has been missing. Her adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when you mention this announcement.
