Cast a vote for Orange County’s best culinary stars
The sixth annual Golden Foodie Awards will recognize the best culinary stars at independent Orange County restaurants with a star-studded event Sept. 24 at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa.
Orange County food enthusiasts are invited to vote using the Golden Foodie website during a three-week period beginning Aug. 5 and ending Aug. 21. Winners will be announced Sept. 24 at the awards gala, which the Los Angeles Times, parent company of TimesOC, is sponsoring.
Categories include Best Bartender of the Year, Best Bar Program, Best Lunch Spot in Orange County and Rising Star Chef of the Year Award. Each of the three weeks, a group of seven or eight categories will come up for voting.
For each category, the individual or restaurant with the most votes at the end of each week wins.
