Eugenia Ann Lessig Corzine will be missed by her family and friends. She passed away on July 14. She was 86.

Born in Warsaw, Indiana in 1927 to Moness and Donald Lessig, Ann spent her childhood with her brother Jerry, her Granny, and her beloved friends. She had fond memories of club meetings with her best friends Betty, Evelyn, Jody, and Mary. She moved to Los Angeles and raised her three children.

Her family admires her courage to act in adversity and to take risks for her beliefs. Education and faith were the foundation of Ann’s life. She received a degree in biology from Manchester University in Indiana. Later, she attended UC Irvine where she tagged sharks, received a teaching credential, and earned a certificate in gerontology, where she was a research associate. At University of La Verne, she was awarded Masters degrees in Special Education and Reading. She ended her studies at theology school.

Her Indiana childhood brought a lifelong passion for sports. Ann loved going to high school basketball games with her father and friends as a child, attending UCLA football games as a season ticket holder, or cursing at a Lakers loss on television.

Ann is survived by her brother Jerry; her three children, Bruce, Jill, and Griff; her grandchildren, Brian, Rebecca, and Peter; Bruce’s wife, Sharon; and Rebecca’s husband, Kevin. She loved her dogs, her family, her friends, and good food. Her family will miss her wisdom, her faith, her humor, and her support. In honor of Ann, donations may be sent to Wycliffe Bible Translators or Global Outreach Mission care of Randy Kent.
