Fountain Valley police serve dinner to help Special Olympics

Fountain Valley police officers traded their patrol cars and ticket books for pens and notepads to take food orders at Claim Jumper on Thursday night as part of the Tip-a-Cop charity event.

Officers stood in as servers and hosts for about four hours at the Claim Jumper restaurant on Brookhurst Street and collected tips that will help fund Special Olympics activities. The total amount raised was not immediately available.
