Red Wings take the lead

Hunter Herrick scored three goals and the Red Wings assumed sole

possession of first place in the Campbell West Division by virtue of a

4-2 victory over the Thrashers at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

Wesley Theobald scored the other Red Wings goal, while Stephen Marchand

collected two assists and Michael Marchand added another.

The Red Wings lead the division with a 2-1 record.

Brett Morinaka scored once with an assist and Sam Slosman had one goal

for the Thrashers, now 1-1-1.

In other games:

Stars 3, Hurricanes 0

Goalie Kyle Evans recorded the shutout, Kevin Caskey scored a pair of

goals, and Kyle MacLeod scored once for the Stars (2-2-2).

CAMPBELL EAST DIVISION

Menehune 5, C2C Rugrats 3

Rebecca Koppel burned the nets for four goals and Brittany Torres scored

once to power Menehune, who lead the division at 2-0; the C2C Rugrats

(0-2) received single scores from Trevor Horton, Kyle Merrick, and Sean

Wing.

Avalanche 5, Blackhawks 1

Three goals were scored by Garrett Haar and Allison Dufault and Dean

Metherell each matched a goal with an assist for the Avalanche (1-1);

Colin Bill scored an unassisted goal for the Blackhawks (1-1).

WALES DIVISION

Sting Rays 6, Atomic Pucks 5

Joshua Heyman scored two goals with three assists and Shane Lakes scored

twice with an assist for the first-place Sting Rays (2-0); Jake Thistle

led the Atomic Punks (1-1) with two goals.

Renegades 5, Hot Dawgs 4

Jonathan Blunda netted four goals as the Renegades (1-1) edged the Hot Dawgs (0-2), who received two goals from Bradley Groen and a pair of

assists from Chad Kelleher.

Goonies 6, Dragons 5

Matt Bastien and Jonathan Shramek each scored twice, Jamie Dyke scored

once with an assist, and Jon Kotkosky assisted two goals to lead the

Goonies (1-1); Kevin Lachman scored three goals and Ryan Doyle scored

twice for the Dragons (1-1).
