Bullet fired through school windows
Someone reportedly fired a gun at an empty building at Sage Hill
High School in Newport Coast breaking two windows, Newport Beach
Police officials said.
The incident likely happened between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:45
a.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Steve Shulman said. Two school employees called
the police on Wednesday morning, he said. No one was hurt, as the
school was closed and the building was empty, he said.
"Officers saw that a bullet had hit the south side window of the
school's gallery and come out through the north side window, breaking
both windows," Shulman said. "The bullet was found outside the
building near the north side window."
He said the school has never experienced any similar incident.
There were no suspects, though an investigation is ongoing, Shulman
