Pfendler, who qualified in seven individual events but could only

swim a maximum-allowed six, also saw a leg on four relay teams for

his Nova club team.

The meet marked the third consecutive year that Pfendler’s points

helped Nova capture first-place in its division.

Four years ago, he helped lead the Azot club team to a first-place

finish at the Junior Olympics.

Swimming in his final Junior Olympics competition, Pfendler posted

the 200-meter individual medley, the 200- and 400-meter free relay

and the 400-meter medley relay.

He set a Southwest Conference and Sectional time in the 50-meter

free and had previously achieved a Sectional time in the 100-meter

back.
