GIRLS UNDER 12

The Newport Harbor Polo Club finished in second place at the Southern Pacific Assn. Water Polo tournament in Irvine. Members of the team include: Sam Archie, Catherine Carpenter, Ashley Erickson, Maddy Mclaren, Presley Pender, Zoe Sanglerat, Mary-Rose White, Sara Wilkey and Alys Williams.

BOYS UNDER 12

The Newport Beach Slammers won their division with a win over the Irvine Lasers.

Members of the team include: Greg Allen, Kevin Caskey, Michael Chislock, Connor Cruise, Joe Cvrtelic, Connor Gaal, Grant Garrett, Alec Kotero, Jack McBean, Andrew McCormick, Ethan Morrow, Timmy Root, Jed Thayer, Alex Turney and Chip Zucker.

GIRLS UNDER 8

Screaming Eagles vs. Orange Juicy: Kaylan Knitowski scored four goals in the season finale for the Eagles. Adding to the offense, Jessica Viale and Paige Kennison each added scores. Haley Hopkins, Kylie Jones and Nina Francini all had had great seasons on offense. Gabby Finea and Kaley Lang were outstanding defensively all year.

PONY BASEBALL

Costa Mesa PONY Baseball will hold registration for its spring 2006 season from 9 a.m. to noon today at Costa Mesa High, in front of the main gymnasium.

The league is open to players ages 13-14, and there is a $165 registration fee. Teams will play in a conference against teams from Newport Harbor and Corona del Mar’s PONY leagues.
