A touch of Disney magic infused the Festival of Arts on Sunday, where the organizations unveiled a special joint exhibition.

Mickey Mouse, Disney Ambassador Adonis Reeves and Disney Imagineer George Scribner joined festival president Anita Mangels in two ceremonies, where they unveiled the exhibition and a tableau of “Waiting for Mom,” a painting by Scribner that is featured in the exhibition.

The show, “Dream, Imagine, Create: The Art of Disney Parks,” commemorates the festival’s 75th anniversary and the Disneyland Resort’s Year of a Million Dreams.

It includes work inspired by this year’s Pageant of the Masters production and the Disneyland dream theme.

Works of art in the exhibition include pieces commissioned from artists from several areas of the Walt Disney Company, including Imagineering, Publishing and Consumer Products, in addition to artwork created by aspiring junior artists from the Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center.

The works were made during a special event held at the facility.
