Share

Orange Coast College’s 2007 fall semester enrollment is up 3.8% over last year.

So far, OCC has enrolled 11,490 students for fall classes.

That’s 418 more than last year, and 7.1% more than 2005, the college recently reported.

The increase has led to overall growth by more than 3% in credit hours, units, and seats taken compared to 2006.

There are 2,223 class sections being offered for the fall semester.

Counting those who will start classes midway through the semester, the college expects to enroll more than 25,000 students before the fall semester concludes Dec. 16.

Though enrollment is heavy, a number of courses remain open, according to Nancy Kidder, OCC’s administrative dean.
