Chamber to mix at Community Clinic

The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce is holding its August mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20, at the Laguna Beach Community clinic, 362 Third St.

The cost is $10 for members, and $15 for nonmembers.

Blue Laguna restaurant to open

The Blue Laguna Restaurant & Lounge is celebrating its grand opening Saturday, at the Holiday Inn at 696 S. Coast Hwy.

The entrepreneur behind L.A.’s Blue Moon Lounge is opening the Blue Laguna with a sunny patio, tropical shaded back patio, swanky lounge and restaurant all under one roof, with live music, happy hours, and specialty nights.

With tapas-style small plates as well as entrée portions of California- casual cuisine, the restaurant serves food until 1:30 a.m.

The Blue Laguna will offer nightly live entertainment from rock-spinning DJ’s, to live performers ranging from Latin to jazz, and supports the local music scene. Artists are encouraged to submit their music via the Blue Laguna’s website, www.bluelaguna.com.

Specialty nights include Locals Monday 50% off all selected food items; Countdown Tuesday featuring food and drink specials with local Jazz; Stock Market Wednesday, with drink prices fluctuating on demand, making cocktails hot commodities.

Blue Laguna is also available for private parties, offers competitive rates, specials and discount-package rates at the Holiday Inn.
