The Newport Beach City Arts Commission will host its eighth annual presentation of Shakespeare by the Sea on Saturday and Sunday at Bonita Canyon Sports Park in Newport Beach.

This year’s event will feature performances of two of Shakespeare’s classic comedies, “Love’s Labour’s Lost” on Saturday and “As You Like in” on Sunday. Pre-show activities begin at 6:45 p.m. The plays begin at 7 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

The performances are free and open to the public. People planning to attend may bring blankets, beach chairs and a picnic dinner.
