Your pocketbooks may be suffering in this harsh economy, but now your looks don’t have to.
Madison’s Day Spa, established by local newlyweds Blair and Donovan Dorsey, will offer an array of luxury services including facials, microdermabrasion, massages, full-body treatments, waxing, airbrush tanning, and manicures and pedicures at client-friendly prices.
The spa, 1833 S. Coast Hwy., is scheduled to open Monday.
“We think everyone should be able to afford a little spa luxury in their life,” Blair Dorsey said. “We would rather be the place where people can go all the time, [opposed] to just on special occasions.”
The charming “house” spa overlooks the ocean and is equipped with five private treatment rooms for body and aesthetic services provided by reputable beauticians, who hail from prestigious spas including the Montage Resort and Ritz Carlton.
In addition to the scenic window view, the pedicure station includes relaxing massage chairs and flat-screen televisions for customers’ viewing pleasure.
Customers can also shop for clothing, skin care, cosmetics, candles and other home accessories, local artwork and baby gifts in the spa’s boutique between treatments.
The Dorseys have implemented a spa membership system for their clientele, which grants members a choice of a Swedish massage, custom facial or mani/pedi for $75 per month, and also includes discounted prices on other services and retail products.
“We also roll over the credits for services from month to month, so if you’re unable to come in one month, you are welcome to it the next,” Blair Dorsey said.
Aside from being cost-friendly, Madison’s prides itself on being mostly organic and environmentally conscious.
“All of our products are free of chemicals, preservatives and harmful ingredients, so our treatments not only feel good, but are good for you.”
A grand opening celebration will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and will include hors d’oeuvres, beverages, a raffle, live music and product demonstrations.
Spa hours are between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Appointments can be made by calling (949) 715-0444.
