OCC students envision new library’s design
Here’s an example of how to get local students involved in professional work: Have them work on something that may become reality in the community.
The Costa Mesa Library Foundation is doing just that by having Orange Coast College architectural students present their visions for a new central library in town.
They’ll be showing the foundation their conceptual drawings at a special community forum on May 15, between 3 and 5 p.m.
“We’re encouraging Costa Mesa residents to attend this forum and give their input as well,” said Barbara Steck, vice president of the Costa Mesa Library Foundation. “This is an important event for the city and we want to spread the word in whatever way we can.”
Refreshments will be served at the forum, along with a drawing for a South Coast Plaza Gift Certificate.
The forum will be held at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park Ave.
