Locals on All-Star teams

Estancia High senior Kohl Jones has been named to the Boys’ Senior South team for the Orange County High School All-Star basketball games, which are today at Concordia University.

The game is scheduled for 7 p.m., the final of six games on the schedule for today.

Sage Hill School seniors Kevin Schaefer, Frank Shapiro and Connor Gaughan have been named to the Boys’ Senior Small Schools South team. They play at 11 a.m.

Estancia junior Kassie Stratton and Newport Harbor junior Alex Morton are on the Girls’ Elite Underclass South team that plays at 1 p.m.

Cosa Mesa senior Olivia Scheidt is on the Girls’ Senior South team that plays at 3 p.m.

The games are sponsored by the Orange County Optimists and the Efusjon Energy Club as a charity event. Tickets are $10 for adults, and children and students get in free.
