Pipe organ concert set

A concert featuring organist Sohyun Hahn playing the “Suite Gothique” by Leon Boëllmann on the Moller pipe organ will be presented in the sanctuary of Laguna Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Sunday. Both vocal and bell choirs will perform. The concert will feature the music of Bach, and “Gloria” by Randol Bass as well as “Cantate” by Stephen Emmons.

The community is invited to the concert, celebrating the reopening of the historic Spanish Mission style landmark church and to experience music in the sanctuary, which was closed for more than two years for seismic retrofitting and state-of-the art audio installation.

Concertgoers will also be invited to see the inner workings of the rare pipe organ with its 1,669 pipes — ranging from a few centimeters to 16 feet tall — and will have a chance to view the Meyer sound system of electronically enhanced acoustics.

There is no charge, though a freewill offering will be taken. The church is at 415 Forest Ave.
