Man arrested on suspicion of possessing, distributing child pornography

Share

Officials allegedly found child pornography last week in the home of a 52-year-old Huntington Beach man after obtaining a search warrant for his residence.

David Brian White was arrested Nov. 2 on suspicion of possession of and distributing obscene matter involving children. He was booked into the Huntington Beach Jail but posted bail.

He is expected to go to court Dec. 20.

Officers had obtained a search warrant for White’s house after collecting information during an ongoing effort to catch Internet child predators. Lt. Russell Reinhart said he can’t release the exact details, because it would prevent the department from catching other potential predators.

The department’s Special Investigations Bureau searched White’s residence on Graziadio Drive. Detectives allegedly found child pornography and evidence that White was sharing the materials online.

White was previously approached by officers in 2003 for taking photographs of people on the beach, including children, Reinhart said. No criminal charges were filed.

Officers are asking anyone who may have information regarding White to call the Special Investigations Bureau at (714) 536-5991.
