Mansoor to head ethics committee

Assemblyman Allan Mansoor , 68th District, will be co-chairman of the Assembly Committee on Legislative Ethics, according to a release from the California Legislature.

“‘I’m proud to have been picked to chair such an important committee,” Mansoor said. “I’m motivated to immediately get to work in restoring ethics in the Legislature. We cannot fix our state’s serious problems if we cannot retain the trust of our citizens.”

Mansoor was also chosen as vice chairman of the Assembly Committee on Public Employees, Retirement and Social Security, or CalPERS. He will serve on the Budget and Health Committees, and the Budget Sub-Committee on Health and Human Services.

Mansoor’s district includes tAnaheim, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Newport Beach, Stanton and Westminster.
