Diane Jacqueline Sweet

She lived in Corona del Mar.
Passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2011

Her parents were Sidney and Helen Scott. She and her twin sister, Dottie, started school in New York and then moved to Los Angeles, California.

Diane graduated from University of Southern California, where she met the love of her life, Daniel Graham Sweet. They were married in Santa Monica, on December 18, 1959, her 22nd birthday.

She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and president of the house. Her career as an elementary school teacher in Los Angeles lasted until she and Dan had their two children, Janet Ann and James Daniel. James and his wife Nury gave Diane her beloved grandchildren, Derek and Erika.

She was an active member of Women of Vision Orange County Chapter; Assistance League; member of St. Andrews Church and devoted much of her time in philanthropic endeavors.

Diane’s interests were varied. She enjoyed bike riding, golfing, swimming, hiking and traveling. Dan and Diane, in their 51 years of marriage, traveled throughout most of
the world. Farewell to our angel!

The memorial service for Diane will be Friday, January 14th, 2:00 p.m. at St Andrew’s Church, 600 St. Andrews Road, Newport Beach 92663.
