SoCal Icon holding open auditions Saturday
COSTA MESA — The renamed SoCal Icon returns to South Coast Plaza with open auditions this Saturday, according to a press release.
Formerly known as OC Idol, the performance opportunity for youth ages 7 to 18 will be held at 10 a.m. in the Carousel Court at the shopping center.
Those interested in auditioning should arrive early. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., according to the release.
The contest’s three finalists will perform at the 10th annual Festival of Children at South Coast Plaza in September.
Past winners have signed production and management deals, such as 2010 winner Xenia Martinez, who stars on NBC’s “The Voice,” according to the press release.
