“Save the Bugs!” lets children create an insect out of recycled materials, such as egg crates and bottle caps. They can submit their critter to the “Best Bug” contest. It’s open to children 6 and older.

Sawdust artist Michelle Hutchinson will lead a class on recyclable art projects. She’ll be showing how to make art from everyday objects. Carmen Flores-Tanis will teach a class on making cardboard jewelry. Both classes are for children 6 and older.

The Laguna Beach Garden Club is also hosting a garden exchange for plant lovers who would like to diversify their gardens. The club is donating drought-resitant succulents.
