COSTA MESA — Parents wanting their children to have a multilingual education will no longer have to look any farther than their own community.
The Florida-based Renascene School International is opening its second location in Costa Mesa at 2987 Mesa Verde East this fall with a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The private school uses an international curriculum that is taught in English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
The school opens Sept. 8 and is accepting children ages 3 to 7 years old. Each year, an additional grade level will be added.
At the grand-opening there will be an open house at 11 a.m., and a ribbon-cutting ceremony and keynote speaker at 10:30 a.m.
There will also be a Chinese lion dance, lunch, arts and crafts, bounce house, face painting, a magic show, story lady with live bunnies, and princesses strolling about.
Renny Tiger, the school's mascot, will also be on hand.
